Chapter
1
Basic premises of
BodyTalk
Body wisdom
-
The body has an innate
wisdom which, when allowed, can heal the body at all levels.
-
This innate wisdom
can even tell us what is wrong with the body, what needs to be treated,
and in what order.
-
The key element in
maintaining health in the body is to reestablish communication between
all the systems and parts of the body. In this way, the body can synchronize
its activities, heal, and adapt to the stresses of life.
-
The most important
consideration in the healing process is the sequence in which the body
heals the systems. One of the main factors that slows down the healing
process is the superimposition of the bias and agenda of the practitioner.
-
The more we respect
the innate wisdom (higher self, witness, source, or whatever you wish to
call it), the more it will instruct us on what to do and the more powerful
it becomes.
Treatment Principles
-
ASKING THE BODY -
The body can be asked what is wrong through muscle testing (biofeedback).
By establishing a yes/no communication system, the body can instruct us
as to its needs once we learn the protocol for systematically covering
the entire bodymind complex.
-
LINKING - The key
to the new paradigm of treatment. The practitioner must ask the body what
parts need to be linked in order to reestablish good communication and
facilitate healing. (See energy dynamic article)
-
THE TAPPING PROCESS
is used on the head and sternum (heart) to facilitate the linkage and store
it.
-
EXAGGERATED BREATHING
is often used to help the body locate and target the corrections
